Lessons Learned #5
Mornings were my favorite part of the day. I’d put the pumpkin seats on the kitchen table after I had prepared and hidden a bowl with baby food. For those unfamiliar with this seat, it was a car seat without straps and much lighter.
I’d give each baby a bath while the other watched. They were patient until the last snap was closed, and I stood up straight. The legs started pumping, hands waving and Donna yelling, “You better hurry!”
I’d start shoveling food as fast as I could. Their heads turned into swivels as a bite when into one mouth and then the other. Somehow, they had figured out turns and nobody double dipped. These angelic beings could turn on a dime if I gave anyone 2 bites.
Lesson #5: Be fast – be accurate.
